This easy and elegant Al Bronzo® Mezzi Rigatoni recipe is inspired by Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and tosses al dente pasta with a savory homemade tomato sauce. Top the dish with crispy prosciutto, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, and a drizzle of his Cloud23 hot sauce.

1 | Package Barilla® Al Bronzo® Mezzi Rigatoni pasta |
4 | Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, divided |
1 | Sweet (Vidalia) onion, sliced thin |
2 | Cups crushed can tomatoes, San Marzano |
1 | Cup prosciutto, julienne |
2/3 | Cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated |
1/3 | Cup fresh basil, julienne |
To Taste | Cloud23 hot sauce |
To Taste | Sea Salt |

Method
Brooklyn Peltz Beckham
Inspired by tastemaker and entrepreneur Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and his favorite ingredients including Cloud23 Hot Sauce.
Step 1
Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
Step 2
Meanwhile, in a skillet sweat the onion with half the olive oil for several minutes over medium heat.
Step 3
Add tomatoes and one cup of water, season with salt and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Cook pasta two minutes less than package directions. Reserve 1/3 cup pasta cooking water and then drain. Toss pasta in the skillet with the tomato sauce and 1/3 cup of pasta cooking water.
Step 5
Meanwhile sauté prosciutto with remaining olive oil until crispy.
Step 6
Turn heat off the pasta. Stir in basil, cheese, and hot sauce to taste. Top with crispy prosciutto and optional hot sauce before serving.
