This homemade tomato sauce is quick and easy and comes together with only five ingredients. Sautee crushed canned tomatoes with extra-virgin olive oil and onion. Stir in the ricotta cheese and toss with Al Bronzo Orecchiette pasta. Top with parmesan cheese and marjoram.

1 | Package Barilla® Al Bronzo® Orecchiette |
3 | Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil |
1/2 | Sweet onion, chopped thin |
3 | Cups canned crushed tomatoes |
1 | Tablespoon fresh marjoram leaves, roughly chopped |
1/3 | Cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated |
2/3 | Cup ricotta cheese |
To Taste | Salt and black pepper |

Method
Step 1
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, cook pasta according to package directions.
Step 2
Meanwhile in a skillet sauté onion with olive oil over medium heat until thoroughly cooked and translucent, about 5-6 minutes.
Step 3
Add tomatoes and 1 cup of pasta cooking water, season with salt and pepper and turn heat up to high, reduce the extra liquid, about 5-6 minutes.
Step 4
Turn heat low, stir in ricotta and one minute later add pasta. Toss well over high heat until perfectly combined.
Step 5
Top with marjoram and Parmigiano before serving.
