| 1 | Box Barilla® Protein+® Rigatoni pasta | 
| 2 | Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil | 
| 1 | Stalk celery, ground | 
| 1 | Carrot, ground | 
| 1 | Onion, ground | 
| 1 | Pound ground beef | 
| ½ | Cup red wine | 
| 2 | Cups canned diced tomatoes | 
| ½ | Cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated | 
| 2 | Tablespoons butter | 
| To taste | Sea salt and black pepper |

Method
Step 1
In a skillet sauté ground vegetables with olive oil for five minutes. Stir in beef and brown, about 10 minutes.
Step 2
Deglaze with wine, reduce completely, stir in tomatoes and 1 cup of water, season with salt and pepper and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water to a boil, cook pasta according to package directions.
Step 4
Drain pasta and toss with meat sauce over high heat for one minute. Turn off heat, stir in cheese and butter before serving.
